Position Summary

The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the full leadership and oversight of Suzu’s front-of-house operations. This role ensures impeccable service standards, smooth daily operations, a strong team culture, and consistently exceptional guest experience. The ideal GM is detail-oriented, polished, proactive, and skilled in luxury hospitality management.

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Suzu to lead our vibrant dining establishment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and fostering a motivated and efficient team. Your leadership will drive the restaurant’s success by managing daily operations, optimizing service delivery, and implementing strategic initiatives to elevate our brand. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff supervision, to ensure seamless daily functioning.
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, stock management, and food safety compliance, utilizing systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
  • Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams, providing training, coaching, and development to uphold service standards and enhance team performance.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly to foster positive dining experiences.
  • Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and implement operational efficiencies to meet budgetary goals.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards while overseeing food handling and preparation procedures.
  • Conduct staff interviews, participate in hiring decisions, and support ongoing training & development initiatives to build a skilled team.
  • Implement quality control measures for food production and presentation, ensuring consistency across all menu items.
  • Monitor restaurant performance through key metrics, prepare reports for senior management, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate a welcoming hospitality environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and high morale among staff.

Qualifications

  • Proven management experience within the food industry, preferably in quick service & fast food or casual dining settings.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with fine dining or catering experience considered a plus.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience essential.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training & development; ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; experience with food handling certifications preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
